Raw Deal: In Aid Of Cancer Research UK

Ian Lloyds "Raw Deal" with very special surprise guests

Celebrating Ian's 60 years of playing to audiences all around the country and Europe, and still enjoying entertaining them.

Ian bought his first Guitar in 1963 from Trev Wilkinson (The Guru) and, after meeting the Beatles a few times, and following a long chat with George Harrison, (whom he asked for advice on playing in a group, and was told by George " I wouldn't bother if I were You" decided playing was what he wanted to do. Moving to London in the late 60's, he worked during the day in Carnaby street and in the evening, was often spotted in the company of noted musicians, returning to play in various bands in Liverpool in 1974.

Ian moved down to Worthing in 1979 and joined a local function band called "After Eight "he later formed "Nightshift " a lively popular eighties 5 piece.

In 1990, he decided to reprise the 70's rock scene that he had enjoyed in London, and formed his present band "Raw Deal" now in it's 33rd year. Having grown weary of playing the same old "Classic Rock" songs for 50 odd years, Ian and Raw deal are moving on, and entertaining younger followers with newer, more recent, less heavy numbers.

Following the passing of Marc and Brian, two of the original members of Raw Deal, Ian has decided to support Cancer Research U.K. and with all participating artistes donating their time for free. All proceeds going to this very worthwhile cause.
