NEW WAVE OF BRITISH HEAVY METAL returns TO WORTHING with legendary BAND DEMON PLUS ELIXIR AND STONE ANGELS

Formed in 1979 by vocalist Dave Hill and guitarist Mal Spooner, Demon are an English Rock/Metal group known for their shocking and elaborate occult-themed performances. Demon were a pivotal band in the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. The band's ghoulish image was contrasted by their sound, which adhered closer to traditional hard rock than the kinetic punk-metal of contemporaries like Venom and Motörhead.

After the release of their first two studio albums, 1981's Night of the Demon and 1983's The Unexpected Guest, the band decided to take a more progressive approach. Demon disbanded in 1992 but vocalist Dave Hill formed a new iteration of the group in the early 2000s that has gone on to release a string of well-received albums like Better the Devil You Know! (2005), Cemetery Junction (2016), and Invincible (2024).

WITH SPECIAL GUESTS ELIXIR and stone angels

Elixir are a London-based NWOBHM 5-piece formed in 1983. Their first album, 'The Son of Odin', was released in 1986 to critical acclaim. Elixir could be found actively storming the stages of London's pubs and clubs alongside Tokyo Blade and Chariot. Before 'The Son of Odin's release, the band self-released their first single, "Treachery", drawing comparisons to epic metal legends like Rainbow and Iron Maiden.

Born out of the ashes of several broken bands, Stone Angels were spawned in 2011 and soon set out their own manifesto, pulling from the classic LA rock and legendary UK rock scenes, whilst still offering a very fresh take on the classic rock genre.
