CLARE GROGAN AND HER BAND PERFORM THE ICONIC ALBUM HAPPY BIRTHDAY IN FULL PLUS ALL THE HITS

Altered Images, one of the most influential bands to emerge from the UK post-punk and new wave scenes, are delighted to announce a special UK tour celebrating their seminal 1981 album Happy Birthday, performed in full by the band’s original singer Clare Grogan.

The tour will shine a spotlight on the album that launched their career while showcasing a full collection of the band’s greatest hits.

Altered Images became one of the early ’80s defining acts, scoring a string of chart successes including “Don’t Talk to Me About Love,” “I Could Be Happy,” “Happy Birthday,” “See Those Eyes,” “Pinky Blue,” and “Bring Me Closer.” Following her breakthrough with Altered Images, Grogan became a familiar face on screen, most notably starring in the cult-classic film Gregory’s Girl and later taking on roles across television drama and comedy. As an author she has written several successful children’s books.

Clare Grogan says: “It means the world to celebrate these songs with the people who grew up with them—and with those discovering them for the first time. The music of Altered Images has taken me on an incredible journey, and revisiting Happy Birthday along with all our hits feels like the perfect way to honour where we’ve been and where we’re going next.”

With a setlist that spans shimmering pop anthems, post punk classics, fan favourites, and timeless singles, each show promises a vibrant celebration of the band’s lasting impact and the unique voice Clare Grogan continues to bring to British music.

THE BEAT FT RANKING JNR

The Beat live: Original British Ska at it’s very finest

The band crossed over fluidly between soul, reggae, pop and punk, and from these disparate pieces they created an infectious dance rhythm. Along with their contemporaries The Specials, The Selecter, and Madness, The Beat became an overnight sensation and one of the most popular and influential bands of the British SKA movement.

By Christmas of 1979, The Beat were riding high in the UK charts with their first single, a smoking remake of the classic Smokey Robinson tune Tears of a Clown.

Over the course of the next five years The Beat toured relentlessly and released three studio albums: “I Just Can’t Stop It”, “Wh’appen”, both reaching number 3 in The UK album charts and “Special Beat Service”. The band toured the world, touring with such artists as David Bowie, The Police, REM, The Clash, The Talking Heads, The Pretenders, and The Specials, to name but a few.

The Beat kept scoring hits with tunes that have now become so popular that it’s hard to remember a time when they didn’t exist, such as Mirror in the Bathroom, Hands Off… She’s Mine, Too Nice To Talk To, Save it for Later, I Confess, Stand Down Margaret, and their serene cover of Andy William’s Can’t Get Used To Losing You.

The Beat featuring Ranking Jnr continue to perform all the classic hits in their dynamic live shows.

Atomic Rooster

A RARE CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE pioneering British progressive rock band ATOMIC ROOSTER LIVE IN WORTHING

Since reforming in 2016, with the blessing of band founder Vincent Crane's widow, ATOMIC ROOSTER, with their early 70's heyday guitar player STEVE 'BOLTZ' BOLTON at the helm the band have gone from strength to strength.

Aside from their two 70's UK and USA chart hits, DEVIL'S ANSWER and TOMORROW NIGHT, Rooster are also much acclaimed for at least two classic proto-metal-gothic-prog albums in the shape of the legendary 'DEATH WALKS BEHIND YOU' album from 1970 and 'IN THE HEARING OF...' released the following year. Both these albums plus the following 'MADE IN ENGLAND' with Chris Farlowe on vocals and Steve Bolton on guitar (not to mention SPINAL TAP's legendary drummer RICK PARNELL on drums!) have firmly established ATOMIC ROOSTER at the vanguard of British Progressive music.

The current line-up draw heavily on these early classics as well as new material from their latest album 'CIRCLE THE SUN'.

STEVE 'BOLTZ' BOLTON - Guitar and Vocals - Steve's CV is pretty epic. Successfully auditioning as a teenager for the Atomic Rooster job, following that he played with - in no particular order - Belinda Carlisle, 6'3'', Vampire Bats, Scott Walker, Paul Youngs Royal Family, including playing on and touring behind the 80's mega-hit album NO PARLEZ. He toured the world playing guitar with THE WHO for two years and can claim to have been deafened by JOHN ENTWISTLE'S vast bass rig. He's played with Iggy Pop, Chris Isaak, Lemmy, Bob Dylan, blues legend HUBERT SUMLIN, Richard Strange, he's toured America with John Otway, jammed with Keith Richards and Steve Jordan.

Hothouse Flowers

THE FACTORY LIVE ARE THRILLED TO WELCOME IRISH ICONS HOTHOUSE FLOWERS BACK TO WORTHING

Something amazing happens when Hothouse Flowers step onto the stage – something that has been shaped by over thirty years of singing and playing all over the world, yet no two shows have ever been the same! There is a sense of musical adventure, an impulse to reach new heights and depths in music where the unspoken aim is that the band and the audience become one and the world becomes a different place for a while.

There is an unpredictable energy in the band that harkens back to their "Risk" days playing on the dancefloors of Dublin’s late-night clubs. They call upon their grand repertoire to create a show that is unique to the time and place. Improvisation can come at any point and allow the band express their brightest and their darkest influences. "Rock and Roll is not about safety or politeness, it is not about perfection either. It is expression and it is spirit." Humour is also never far from a Hothouse Flowers night. They do not take themselves seriously however, there is no mistaking the musical integrity among them as they open up to each other in musical dialogue.

Fiachna, Liam and Peter are traditional musicians. This allows for moments of ancestral connection. From a Doors-like musical workout one minute, to an earnest and timeless offering to the memory of Currachaí na Tra Báine the next. A song inherited by Fiachna describing the blow inflicted upon a community and a family due to drowning. This moment and moments like these set the Flowers apart from almost any other band of their time and trade. They are carriers of culture and all of what that entails.

Hothouse Flowers are a rock ‘n’ roll band, Hothouse Flowers are a traditional band, Hothouse Flowers are a soul band, Hothouse Flowers are a jam band with their own brand of jam on both sides of the bread!

Despite the bands lengthy career which is now well into its fourth decade there is a sense of unfinished business. Every night they want to play the best gig they have ever played and take the musical risks that can maybe make that possible. There are still songs to be written and emotions to share. Whether its in a tiny club, an arena or in a festival field there is a sense that the best is yet to come.

With support from sixth-generation fiddle player Clare Sands

Clare Sands is a sixth generation fiddle player and bilingual singer from Cork, Ireland. Drawing deeply from the music of her ancestors, she weaves Traditional Irish roots with Contemporary sounds and influences. Her songs are deeply connected to place and where folklore, language, and activism rise in song. Man The Lifeboats + TJ Walker + Young Stanley

Three Electric Bands Headlined by Shanty-Punk Folk artist Man The Lifeboats with TJ Walker and YOUNG STANLEY IN AID OF LARA’S FOUNDATION

Man The Lifeboats began life in a shanty-punk folk mosh pit in 2016. Skinny Lister and Holy Moly & the Crackers were the two bands that lit the fire and blew the roof of the Garage that night. Fast forward 8 years and 100 gigs and counting and Man The Lifeboats are ploughing their full-throttle folked-up furrow on the festival circuit, winning over audiences at Moseley, Purbeck, Warwick, Swanage, Jurassic Fields, Beardy Folk, Folk in a Field, Bearded Theory, Deepdale, Ragged Bear and more, drawing comparisons to Bellowhead, Waterboys, Oyster band, the Levellers, and those folk-punk heroes the Pogues.

The second album Soul Of Albion hit no. 27 in the Official Folk Charts in 2022. Recorded at Rockfield Studios, it sounds like Led Zeppelin arm-wrestling Shane McGowan in a Birmingham brewery, like Jimbo band Fruitbat fronting Fairport Convention, like The Albion Band turned up to 11 with their fiddles on fire. Tonic for these troubled times.

TJ WALKER BAND - electric guitar through the decades!

The TJ Walker Band if fronted by Shoreham's Tom Walker but had to change his name because of the woolly-hatted, bearded pop star with the same name! He has recently supported Nik Kershaw, Big Country, The Hanging Stars, Sam Lewis and Clearwater Creedance Revival and now brings his full band to takeover The Factory Live stage in Full Force (Mike Drinkwater - Keys, Beau Barnard - Bass and Ralph Millington -Drums).

TJ Walker has released 2 albums of original material, ranging in genre from Americana, Country, Blues and Classic Rock. He's a much in demand session and live guitarist with a popular Youtube channel about all things music and guitar nerdery!

He has been featured as the "One to Watch" in Maverick, Europe's biggest Country Music Magazine. The highlight of Tom's guitar playing career was playing "Whole Lotta Love" in front of Jimmy Page. Afterwards Tom met Jimmy, apologised to him for having to listen to someone else playing his song to him, to which Jimmy replied, "It was quite good actually!!"

OPENING BAND YOUNG STANLEY PLAY THE HITS OF MADNESS, OASIS AND MORE!

Profits for this concert are in aid of Lara’s Foundation; an education charity founded in 2012 in memory of Lara Jones. Found out more about this very special cause here.

Girlschool / Raven / Alcatrazz / Airforce

NWOBHM GIANTS GIRLSCHOOL ARE JOINED BY RAVEN, ALCATRAZZ AND AIRFORCE FOR THIS MASSIVE METAL TAKEOVER IN WORTHING

Girlschool are a British rock band that formed in the new wave of British heavy metal scene in 1970s and frequently associated with contemporaries Motörhead. They are the longest running all-female rock band, still active after almost 40 years. Originally formed in 1975 from a school band called Painted Lady, Girlschool enjoyed strong media exposure and commercial success in the UK in the early 1980s with three albums of “punk-tinged metal” and a few singles. They maintain a worldwide cult following and are an inspiration for many female rock musicians. Original members Kim McAuliffe, Denise Dufort, and long-tenured member Tracey Lamb are still in the band.

RAVEN are that rare thing in music, true originals – cut these guys with a razor and they will BLEED true heavy metal - a more intense live band does not exist on this planet! Hailing from Newcastle in 1974, the brothers Gallagher cut their teeth until solidifying their line up in 1980 with drummer Rob Hunter. The trio went on to release three of the most influential metal albums of NWOBHM inspiring every band of that era and beyond. Basically, without Raven you just would not have thrash/speed metal… the band gave Metallica & Anthrax their first tours!

With neo-classical “shred lord” Joe Stump on guitar, founding members Jimmy Waldo and Gary Shea, plus the addition of Doogie White, Alcatrazz offer a high energy metal show covering the classics plus Doogie’s own work as a member of the Michael Schenker Fest and Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow. Newly joined by drummer Larry Paterson formerly of Blaze Bayley, this is a metal supergroup in the true sense of the word.

Plus opening metal band Airforce!

Danny Bryant

Danny Bryant

British blues rock giant Danny Bryant, known for his soulful, fiery guitar-playing and powerful vocal delivery, tours to worthing next spring with his full band PLUS support

With his new album Nothing Left Behind, released In February 2026, Danny Bryant opens the most personal chapter of his career to date. The British guitarist and singer-songwriter — a fixture of the European blues-rock scene for more than twenty years — presents a record that marks both a fresh start and a natural progression, musically as much as personally.

Nothing Left Behind broadens Bryant’s characteristic sound with new colours, bold arrangements and a wider sense of scale, shaped by the cohesion of a band that has grown closely together. All five musicians are integral to the project — a deliberate choice in the studio, where the aim was to create an album that feels as alive on stage as it does on record. “We wanted to make an album we could perform live,” Bryant says. “With five of us on stage, we can reproduce the full sonic picture we created in the studio.” The resulting sound is broader, bolder and more vivid than anything on Bryant’s previous releases.

Engineer Martin Meinschäfer — known for his work with Henrik Freischlader — delivered the album’s recording and mix with characteristic clarity. “I was in a vulnerable place,” Bryant says. “Marc helped guide that process musically. We didn’t want to make a standard blues-rock record. It was about songs we believed in, regardless of genre.”

Nothing Left Behind balances driving blues-rock moments such as “Swagger” — with riffs that nod towards ZZ Top and AC/DC — “Three Times As Hard” and “Lover Like You” with markedly intimate material. “Enemy Inside” stands out: a stark, affecting ballad in which Bryant confronts his past. “Redemption”, with its unmistakable Led Zeppelin influence, forms another key moment on the album.

Nothing Left Behind feels like a new beginning — the sound of a musician liberated from the need to hide. The result is a varied, dynamic record that resonates emotionally while carrying a renewed sense of energy. It is the sound of an artist holding nothing back.

Curved Air’s concerts and festival appearances continue to thrill a steadily increasing mass of new and old fans worldwide. Their experimental blends of classical themes, electronic sounds and pop/rock energy and beautiful, timeless songs are performed with fire and passion and tremendous musicianship.

Considered "one of the most dramatically accomplished of all the bands lumped into Britain's late-'60s prog explosion", Curved Air is a pioneering British progressive rock group of musicians from mixed artistic backgrounds. They are famed for their unforgettable live performances and 'Art Rock' music - the quasi classical imprints of Terry Riley hooked onto beautiful and demonic violin combined with electronic adventurous synths and interwoven with brilliant guitar wizardry mesmerisingly embroidered by the subliminal and exotic presence of a unique lead singer Sonja Kristina. All these elements elevated them from the underground Roundhouse scene to top the album charts in the early '70s.

CONNOR SELBY

CONNOR SELBY

MULTI AWARD-WINNING BLUES ARTIST CONNOR SELBY RETURNS TO THE FACTORY LIVE WORTHING WITH HIS BAND

TRADITIONAL BLUES ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2025 + 2026
YOUNG BLUES ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2020+ 2021 + 2022

Connor Selby is one of the brightest talents on the UK blues scene; incredibly he was voted "Young Artist of the Year" at the UK Blues Awards for three consecutive years. He has an impressive venue checklist, including Wembley Stadium, where he opened for The Who in July 2019 and has since gone on to play Hyde Park, London, on a bill with Pearl Jam, Stereophonics and Johnny Marr in the summer of 2022.

The Truth Comes Out Eventually. Honestly is something that we should all aspire to live by. Authenticity is a word that's undervalued in today's fast-moving landscape and disposable culture, but authenticity and truth are interwoven, and if you have one, then the other naturally sidles up. There are a number of reasons Connor Selby has chosen this as his album title.

These two words have always been at the heart of the music of the young British troubadour Connor Selby. Having moved around as a child between the UK, US, and UAE before settling in his birthplace in Essex, he has always had a burning passion for the authentic rootsy music of the US - it was one of the few constants. This passion seeps into his very existence.

Authentic, roots-based voices have penetrated the mainstream in recent years; from the soulful yearns of early Leon Bridges, the groove of Gary Clark Jr., the booming voice of Jacob Banks, the raw and haunting delivery of Ray LaMontagne or the earthy tones of Rag ‘n Bone Man - those voices cut through, and they stand out, they make you take notice, because they don’t sound like everyone else.

Selby’s voice echoes these trailblazers; enveloping his music with an emotional integrity. He delves deep into his soul, all the way down into his core and the feeling of belonging. "The songs are about my feelings of being in the world, and not really feeling like I belong," he explains.

ALAN FLETCHER, DR. KARL KENNEDY OF NEIGHBOURS, RETURNS TO WORTHING WITH HIS AMERICANA BAND FOR A NIGHT OF SOARING SONGS AND ANECDOTES

Alan Fletcher has worked as an actor and musician for more than 45 years in Australia and the United Kingdom. As an actor, Alan is a household name because of his portrayal of Dr Karl Kennedy for 30 years on the iconic Australian drama Neighbours.

As a musician, Alan has performed as a front man for rock band Waiting Room that played a weekly residency in Melbourne for twelve years and toured the UK ten times over eight years. In 2020 Alan moved away from Rock and commenced a solo career in Americana / Alt-Country and Folk. Collaborating with producers Lachlan Bryan and Damian Cafarella Alan’s releases include the EP ‘Dispatches in 2023, an album ‘The Point’ in 2024 and his latest album ‘Back to School’ in February 2026.

Alan also released a Country Music duet entitled TELL ‘EM with his partner of 35 years and fellow band mate Jennifer HansenIn Summer 2024 Alan toured the UK with a full band, playing 20 sell-out dates in venues the length and breadth of the country, including a performance at the prestigious Kendal Calling Festival in Lowther. In 2025 Alan’s band played 34 dates throughout the UK and Ireland playing to thousands of enthusiastic supporters and Americana music fans.

“Engaging, delightful, wistful and original, The Point is classically crafted whilst contemporarily composed. It’s an album that covers a wide spectrum of emotions, that shakes and stirs with infectious honesty.” The Manc Review (mancreview.com)

“Alan Fletcher delivered a show that surprised in the best possible way. He had a fantastic vocal quality throughout as well as some solid guitar playing, but what elevated the evening for me was the balance he struck between thoughtfulness and fun and the strength of his connection with the crowd. It’s safe to say he’s going to appeal to music fans way beyond just those who know him from ‘Neighbours’." Entertainment-focus.com

“Five hugely talented musicians and singers delivering a truly outstanding set of Americana ... up there with the finest gigs ever ... loved every second ... richly entertaining show ... doesn’t get much better!!” Rich Wakefield Leicester Musician review 2024
